Nanouk
fell in love with Brussels whilst studying Criminology in 2010 and it became one of her passions. She is interested in social dynamics in the city and how to include minorities as part of a bigger identity. She loves to take a walk in her streets in search for new stories, projects
and connections.
Silvia
is a Designer/Linguist by trade and has spent the last 12+ years telling visual stories and helping people communicate around the world. Using her design and linguistic background, she is constantly looking for ways in which visual imagery can break down cultural and language barriers and be used to solve complex problems.
Our Story
Less Walls was born out of our love for Brussels, we both realised that although the city itself is very diverse and made up of many communities, these communities tend to stick to their own bubbles and there is a lack on integration resulting in people not being able to identify with the city.
Our aim to tackle this problem is to tap into the potential and the richness that this diversity of cultures can bring. We want to draw bridges and facilitate experiences (in the city) where citizens can build the bridges themselves between the different communities. By actively reaching out to all members of society we want to ensure equal access to these experiences.
Less Walls is a non for profit organization which aims to tackle the integration of marginalised communities in the city via creative projects.
